Flash Sale Targeting Agent

Author: Venkata Sudhakar

ShopMax India runs flash sales on overstocked or promotional SKUs, but blasting the entire customer base wastes budget and causes unsubscribes. A targeting agent that selects only customers who have shown intent for the product - browsed it, added to wishlist, or purchased in the same category - and crafts personalised urgency messages dramatically improves flash sale conversion rates.

This tutorial builds a Flash Sale Targeting Agent using ADK and Gemini. The agent takes a flash sale product and discount, finds the best-matched customers from the database, segments them by intent strength, and generates a tailored notification for each segment.

The below example shows flash sale targeting for a ShopMax India TV promotion.

It gives the following output,

Flash Sale Targeting - Samsung 55-inch 4K TV (12% off, 4 hours)
Reach: 3 HOT leads + 2 WARM leads = 5 customers targeted

HOT LEAD MESSAGES:

Pradeep (Mumbai): The Samsung 4K TV on your wishlist is now 12% OFF - that is
Rs 7,440 saved! This flash sale ends in 4 hours. Grab it now: shopmax.in/flash/SKU-1001

Shalini (Hyderabad): Shalini, your wishlist item just went on flash sale!
Samsung 55-inch 4K TV - Rs 54,560 (was Rs 62,000). 4 hours only!

WARM LEAD MESSAGES:

Meera (Bangalore): You browsed the Samsung 4K TV recently - it is now 12% off
for 4 hours only. Limited stock. shopmax.in/flash/SKU-1001

Rajan (Delhi): Big TV fan? Our Samsung 55-inch 4K is Rs 7,440 off right now.
Flash deal - ends today. shopmax.in/flash/SKU-1001

Integrate this agent with your Firestore customer database and connect to the ShopMax India WhatsApp Business API or Firebase push notifications for real-time delivery. Log click-through and conversion rates per segment in BigQuery to measure the ROI of intent-based targeting versus broadcast campaigns.
